For the first time in the history of Monaco in the gallery "Maison De L'Amerique Latine De Monaco" in Europe residence was held a personal exhibition of a Russian painter Alfia Ponomarenko.

The exhibition enjoyed publicity and a friendly atmosphere. Numerous guests were invited: the Government of Monaco, persons of high rank, Monaco dwellers, guests from France, Italy, England, Germany.

At the opening ceremony on the side of Russia was present a business-manager of the Saratovskaya Oblast E.Kameneva. She read out a letter from the Governor of the Saratovskaya Oblast Pavel Ipatov. Honorary Russia's Consul Claude Palanca was presented with a chrystal sterling - symbol of the Saratovskaya Oblast and a book on Saratov province.

The guests of the exhibition were much impressed with portraits of V.Putin and Albert II. Shortly afterwards the portrait of His Highness Albert II was purchased and presented to Him on the National Holiday of Monaco. Prince Albert was much pleased with the portrait. Presently this portrait is among possessions of His family castle. The portrait of V.Putin, painted with rare sympathy, appealed to the visitors. With masterly skill the painter caught the President's intelligent and kind look. There were offers to buy the portrait but organisers on the Russian side answered: "Putin is not on sale".

Much attention was drawn to the picture "Four Seasons" in which Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn were represented as femails.

More than nine works were sold. The organisers of the exhibition were greatly surprised with this success and offered a contract on the art exhibition in 2009. Some guests of the exhibition made orders on portraits.
